Last September, I went to Las Vegas by purchasing a deal from Dealathon for $500 that included flight + hotel for 3 nights, 4 days; staying at Aria Hotels!
It was my first visit there so I was super excited to check out this never-sleeping city!
Prior to the trip, we made some research of what to eat there and we wanted to try something “high-end” such as a restaurant with 2 or 3 michelin stars.
We landed our eyes on PICASSO at Bellagio and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!
We made a reservation almost 2 weeks in advanced and asked for the fountain view (first come first serve). We arrived just early enough to grab good seats just in front or behind the fountain, depending on which way you are looking at (example from youtube of the fountain show if you’re not aware of it, link - this is also exactly our view of the night!). So throughout our meal, we were entertained by the continuously fountain show every 15 minutes!!

Picasso only offered 2 options for their prix fix menu…
We all opted for the $125 degustation menu; it wasn’t a typical 3-course meal but a 6-course meal!! Totally worth it! Our Degustation Menu consisted of the following…
Amuse bouche – complimentary house starter
Maine Lobster Salad w/ Apple-Champagne Vinaigrette
- This was amazing! So fresh and light and appetizing!

Pan Seared U-10 Day Boat Scallop w/ Potato Mousseline and Jus de Veau
- Amazing! The mousseline is just like a mashed potato but a lot softer. Scallop was seared to perfection!

Sautéed Steak of “A” Foie Gras w/ Rhubarb Purée and Blood Orange Sauce
- Generous size of the foie gras. I savored every bite!

For main, I got the Sautéed Medallions of Fallow Deer w/ Caramelized Green Apple and Zinfandel
This was actually on the $115 menu and because I’ve never had deer before and my friends were trying other mains on the menu, I asked the waiter if I can substitute my main for this instead for more variety…. and he kindly offered it! Such accommodating customer service! The deer tasted similar to a lamb/beef but tenderer.

My friends had the Sautéed Filet of Halibut w/ Green Asparagus and Sauce Hollandaise
- It was good but not as great as the meat dishes.

Roasted Tournedo Loin of Colorado Lamb w/ Pisto, Mint Aioli and Tempura Zucchini Flower
One of my friends also opted for the Sauce Kobe Beef for an additional of $160.
- I couldn’t remember the size of this kobe beef… 16oz? But big enough for the price. I tried a piece of it and it was super tender and juicy!

Lastly, Desserts…
I had some Pineapple coconut gelato ice cream with mango
The gelato and ice cream were so fluffy! I loved how there were pineapple bites to add to the texture. Mango was extremely fresh knowing that it wasn’t the season as well.

Chocolate Raspberry Cake w/ chocolate ice cream

Pistachio Gelato w/ fig
- Amazing presentation! and delicious!

After our desserts, our meal didn’t just end there, the waiter came by with a complimentary tiered petite of four desserts.
This was barely touched as we were all so stuffed!

Lastly, when we asked for the bill, it came with lights illuminated from the bottom. Love! This is such an efficient idea especially when we were dining out in the dark.

When we exited the restaurant, we were also gifted with a souvenir to bring home with us! It was house-made banana muffins packaged in a nice box!

All-in-all, this was just one of the best meals I have had in my life! With great food, great company, accommodating and flexible customer service and gorgeous continuous entertainment by the Bellagio Fountain (if you’ve never seen the bellagio fountain show, here’s one from youtube, link). The meal is relatively pricey but just look at all the food we’ve had!
I also have to say that their service was superb. Very attentive and accommodating! Their goal is really to have the customers enjoy their meal and they totally achieved that goal!
I’ll come back again for sure! To me, they are 3-stars Michelin already. I wonder why they are missing that 1 star.
