The first time I had Sprinkle Cupcakes (@SprinklesChicag) was from L.A. and when I found out they have it in Chicago, I had to get it again even though I’m not a super fan of cupcakes or sweet things. But just the looks of it are so adorable and happy-looking.
Sprinkle Cupcakes is located at a convenient location near Magnificent Mile on Walton St, just parallel to Michigan Ave. Their cupcakes are handcrafted with the finest ingredients.
There are these circles on each cupcake to distinguish what flavour it is..how clever! They have a wide selection of flavours! Full list here!
When I got there in the afternoon, there was a bit of a line-up and some items were already sold already! But I managed to pick up half-a-dozen…
- Vanilla Peppermint (white one w/ some pink sprinkle) – this was a special for the month of Dec/ Jan
- Black & White (white w/ chocolate sprinkle) – Belgian dark chocolate cake with creamy vanilla frosting
- Chocolate Marshmallow (red outer with white inner circle) – Belgian dark chocolate cake and marshmallow cream with bittersweet chocolate ganache
- Red Velvet (red outer with green inner circle) – southern style light chocolate cake with cream cheese frostingOne cupcake was heavy/filling enough for me to last a couple more hours of walking. The cupcake was very soft and of course…sweet.
I also noticed that they have a cupcake vending machine just outside their store! Super convenient especially when the store is closed; the vending machine is 24 hours!
