The Drake Hotel
1150 Queen Street West
Toronto, ON M6J1J3
Ambience: 3.5/5 – Nice bar area. Very quiet on a Sunday night. Nothing too fancy. A few dried vegetable look-alike hanging down from the ceiling. A unique sculpture facing the wall (see pictures below). Friendly Service. I also got my Tuna Tataki for free because they stated that the portions were smaller than usual (not up-to-par), but they could have easily just told me that they don’t have it and not give me anything at all.
Price: $$ – approximately $65 per person.

Drake Hotel's Menu
Complimentary bread with cream cheese + chili flakes
Oysters with Apple Cider Mignonette
Beef Carprpaccccio - Cumbrae's beef carpaccio, Quebec brie focaccia, truffle oil and arugula. - 1 of my fave!
Fried Sesame Squid- Drake kimchi, charred scallion mayo
Tuna Tataki - fresh ginger, shishito peppers, sesame. The dish that I got for free because it wasn't up-to-par.
TWO SHI - heart-shaped, double-roll with tuna, salmon, avocado and spicy mayo. I personally did not think this dish was worth it's price. Aside from the cute shape, nothing spectacular about it. Tastes like a normal sushi that you can get at a grocery store. =P
10oz Striploin - Montpelier butter + Handcut fries. I adored this striploin! Nice and juicey at medium rare. I especially liked the Montpelier butter.
Steak + Cake - Cumbrae’s grilled striploin, peekytoe crab cake. Striploin was yummy! Crab cake wasn't very surprising. I would suggest the steak + frite combo than with the crabcake.
Frites - the fries that came with the steaks
My friends aka. the hungry monsters aka. my food buddies 🙂
Chocolate cake + Hazel nuts
Some cookie icecream - not that great.
SMASH + WHIP - seasonal berries, whipped cream, smashed meringue in a magic bullet jar but it actually tastes pretty good!
