Recently noticed this Thai place around the area so my parents and I decided to check it out. The decor reminded me of Linda’s with many budah displays around the wooden-furnished restaurant.
We ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice. Nothing too spectacular, I thought they could have added more pineapple.
My all-time favourite, Thai Steamed Fish on Stove 泰式明爐蒸魚柳/烏頭 – gray mullet steamed with fragrant lemongrass, lime leaves, ginger, galangal, minced pork, green onion, coriander, limejuice & plum.
This dish was to be served on the stove, HOT. Unfortunately, when it first arrived to our table, it was still very cold that we waited more than half an hour and it was still not warmed up! We had to ask the server to add more fire crystals for it to heat up. The wait was worth it though, it was delicious!
Slow-braised beef curry. This dish was also great. Slow-braised was tender and in-rich of flavour.
Overall, everything was only mediocore. Saigon Star is better. I think I would only come back for the fish as it doesn’t offer in all too many places.
