Every time I visit Hong Kong, I would try a new dessert place. They have so much more variety to choose from and all are extremely creative. This time, my friend brought me to The Dessert Kitchen. Dessert Kitchen is situated just in Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) where most of the big shops and restaurants are located; it’s like shopping/ tourist district.
Compared to Toronto, HK is very different, they are always lively even on a weeknight! There was a bit of a line up at Dessert Kitchen when we arrived. It’s quite a small restaurant with tightly packed seats (common in hk). After about 15 minutes of wait, we got our seats and we quickly flipped over the menu to decide what we want.
Creative Winner – Purple in Love – bobbas, shaved ice, tapiocas, grapes, taro mochis
As you can see, this is massive! I believe it has won a prize before too. mmmmm. love mochis!
Winter of Love (front of the picture) – cookies and cream ice-cream, corn flakes, tapioca, diced mango, soft ice-cream/yogurt sprinkled nuts
The Dancing Green (back of the picture) – green tea ice-cream, Japanese red bean, tapiocas, milk pudding, soft ice-cream
These were super delicious!! I liked all the toppings within – corn flakes, tapioca…etcetc to add more flavour and texture to the icecream. And for some reason, I feel like it’s healthier. =P
A friend of mine ordered something really plain cause he’s lactose-intolerant (haha). Almond Soup
He commented that the almond soup was good and cools him down.
Will definitely come back! Highly recommend it to those living or visiting Hong Kong! Definitely a breezer for the summer time!
