For my last meal in Chicago, I ate at Chilis in Chicago’s O’Hare Airport for a quick bite instead of buying the cold sandwiches from a stand. Chili’s (@Chilis) is a franchise restaurant in United States, that is casual dining with relatively similar menu and ambience to our Jack Astors.
Here’s Chili’s store locator if you are looking for one during your stay in USA. They have quite an wide range of selections on their menu from sandwiches, salads, steaks to pasta or pizza.
For lunch, we ordered the
Big Mouth® Bites – Four mini burgers topped with applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, sautéed onions and ranch. Served with crispy onion strings and ranch dressing.
– These sliders were pretty good. 4 sliders is actually quite a bit for lunch. The onion strings were crispy and indulging! oh and I ordered fries on the side instead of salad. 😉
Bowl of Chili or Soup with a House Salad.
– We picked the Spicy Southwest Chicken & Sausage Soup with Ranch dressing on the house salad.
Overall, my meal was about $11USD per person. I would say it was a valued meal compared to Canada where our normal dine-in luncheon would be at least $13+. Food was good, especially if you want a more comfortable place to sit and enjoy a warm and good meal at the airport or even to catch a game there with a beer in your hand. This is definitely better than having cold sandwiches that are sold at elsewhere in the airport that costs at least $8. Can’t ask for a better valued meal to end my Chicago trip. 🙂
