The Drake Hotel (@thedrakehotel) opened up a new standalone restaurant, Drake 150, on 150 York St. in the financial district. Apparently the location used to be a bank and now revamped with some hipster décor.

I was here on a weekday for lunch. They serve a separate menu for lunch and dinner. I wasn’t feeling the best on this day so I shared the meal with a girlfriend of mine.
We shared the Beef Tartare – Cumbrae’s sirloin, tomoato puree, pickled shiitake, egg yolk, potato chips ($16)
The waiter claimed that it was the best beef tartare that he has ever had… I don’t really agree with that. It lacked a bit of flavor unfortunately for an appetizer.
Forager – flor di latte, ramps, wild mushrooms, pecorino ($22)
The pizza was pretty good. Much better if it was served hotter. Definitely a healthier choice for lunch!
Drake 150 indeed have a good atmosphere with interesting décor that made me feel like I’m in the 60s or 70s.
Great place for after-work drinks and all. Would love to try out other things on the menu… perhaps for dinner next time.
