I was around the Queen St west area with a couple of friends and one of them mentioned how great Geraldine (@GeraldineResto) is for lounging and drinks. We were all so full from dinner already but still decided to drop by to grab a drink (and a few more bites). Geraldine offers a variety of drinks/ cocktails that you don’t normally see elsewhere, very creative and innovative!
They have a long bar on the side while some round intimate tables on the other.
We started off with the following drinks…
ANTOINETTE – CITADELLE GIN + LAVENDER SYRUP + ORANGE BITTERS + GRAPEFRUIT ZEST ($10)
– This was my drink. I liked the citrusy flavour but gin was a little too heavy for me.
THE LEW FIELD – LE CLANDESTINE ABSINTHE + FIG SYRUP + FRESH MINT + BITTERS + CRUSHED ICE ($18)
THE GRAND AMBER – BULLEIT BOURBON + AVERNA AMARO + GRAND MARNIER + ORANGE BLOSSOM WATER + ANGOSTURA BITTERS + FLAMED ORANGE ($10)
– Unfortunately I didn’t get photos of these drinks as we sat at the bar and it was difficult to snap photos of it. But they were all delicious.
We also shared
Cheeseboard ($12) – these were really good! I liked the brie especially. It was a great assortment. (as you can tell, the pic is quite shakey…could be from the alcohol :p)
Beef Tartar – covered bridge potato chips ($9)
We also had Fries – malt vinegar mayo ($5) and Oysters Rockfeller ($6). They were decent too.
Overall, Geradline was a great place to hang out after work or after dinner for drinks if you want to have a nice sit-down with a couple of friends.
Service was friendly and accommodating. They were kind enough to move us to a round table when seats became more available.
Would be back for drinks and perhaps other food on the menu too. Cheers!
