Upon arrival at Boehmer (@BoehmerResto), there were a few Lincoln (@LincolnMotorCA) MKZ lined up already! We were greeted by friendly staff for the event and were asked to register and answer a couple of questions with iPads, mainly questions of what we drive, what our thoughts were for Lincoln…etc. We were then given an option to drive the new Lincoln MKZ ourselves or be chauffeured. As it was raining outside, MJ and I felt like being spoiled so we asked for a chauffeur. =)
The chauffeur did a great job at showcasing the car. He wasn’t being too ‘salesy’ about it, he allowed us to enjoy our ride while answering our questions. As MJ is really interested in cars, he asked a lot of relevant questions. The MKZ was definitely very modern, sleek and young compared to other Lincoln models. It’s priced approximately at $38,000 (before tax and all), that’s quite reasonable for all the features they have including a panoramic sunroof that expands to the back of the seat and a navigation system.
When our ride was done, we were then asked to input or post-experience feedback in the iPad again. Great way of getting pre and post experience feedback!
After that, we seated quickly at the dining table to enjoy our meal! This was actually my second time at Boehmer (first visit here). We were offered a 3-course menu including a beverage (including alcoholic ones). I got a MKZ Martini with grand marnier, amaretto, cranberry juice and fresh lime. MJ got the Pinot Grigio.
We ordered the…
Grilled Calamari, Ontario Hot House Heirloom Tomatoes, Curried Jalapeno Aioli, Tomato Concasse Vinaigrette
– This was amazing! It wasn’t too chewy. The vinaigrette was appetizing.
House Made Terrine with Crostini and Petit Greens
Veal Cheeks with Mash Potatoes, Braised Red Cabbage and Wild MUshrooms Jus
Butternut Squash and Goat Cheese Ravioli with Brown Butter Sage Suace
I thought the presentations of the desserts were very creative that they incorporated the Lincoln logo within.
Orange Chocolate Tart
Pistachio Cake with Lemon Meringue
Overall, Boehmer didn’t disappoint me again. Portions were great. I thought the calamari and veal were the highlights of the meal! I left with a happy stomach and a different view of the Lincoln automobiles! Cheers! 🙂
